Ballerina born without both arms shining (upworthy.com

What do you see in the picture, what do you notice? What do you think this story is about?

Vitoria Bueno is a 18 years old and is a ballerina. She has performed across the world. There is something that makes Vitoria different from other dancers –

What do you think makes Victoria different from other dancers?

Victoria was born without arms.

Victoria starting taking dance lessons when she was 5 years old and says dancing has transformed her life. She days, “For me, arms, they’re just a detail. I follow with my eyes as if they were there.”

What does she mean by that?
How do dancers who have two arms use their arms when they dance?
How do you think Victoria dance without arms?

People are saying that Vitoria is showing disability doesn’t mean that any individual should limit themselves in any way.

If you limit yourself, what does that mean? What is another way of saying that?

Vitoria says "We are more than our disabilities so we have to chase our dreams."

What does Vitoria mean by "We are more than our disabilities"?

Vitoria does lots of things with other parts of her body that most people can't do.

How do you think Vitoria puts makeup on or eats?

Vitoria uses her feet for many things where others use arms and hands.

-         If you heard someone say, "Vitoria can't be a dancer," how would you respond

-       How do you think Vitoria is feeling in these photos? Why doesn't she hide her disability?

What can we learn from  Vitoria?

Why is this about No Outsiders?

Which British Value is this about?
