The picture shows Naomi Herron who had not been on a beech since she was a child. Something stopped her = what do you think that might have been? Naomi has cerebral palsy which meant she was unable to access the beech. What is cerebral palsy? Cerebral Palsy affects how a person moves and controls their body. The word cerebral refers to the brain and palsy refers to weakness or problems using muscles. Somone with cerebral palsy might have stiffness in their muscles or tremors. Sometimes people won't be able to move parts of their body. Why did this man Naomi couldn't access the beech? Five years ago, Naomi started campaigning with the Mae Murray Foundation; a charity to make beeches and water sports more accessible for those with disabilities. What does accessible mean?
