What do you see in the picture, what do you think this story is about?

The photo shows two penguins and their their chicks who live in Sea Life in Sydney, Australia. This is is a penguin family.

What kind of animal is a penguin?
Where in the world do Penguins live in the wild?
What is a family?

The two boy penguins, Sphen and Magic got together in 2018. They wanted to be daddies together and they sat on a rock, taking turns to keep it warm, hoping it would hatch and give them a chick to look after.

Why didn't the rock hatch?

Keepers at Sea Life were watching Sphen and Magic trying to be a family with their own chick. The keepers thought they would be good daddies so they gave them an egg that another penguin couple were not able to look after and after two months it hatched.

Why do you think the keepers through Sphen and Magic would be good daddies?
Do you think Sphen and Magic were able to look after the chick?

Sphen and Magic were great daddies. In 2020, the couple hatched another chick. The keepers say Sphen and Magic are one of the strongest couples in the penguin house; "They are a great example to the rest of the penguins. They are inseparable and proving just how strong penguin bonds can be. We've noticed many of the newer penguin couples setting up their nests close to Sphen and Magic, which we think is them trying to learn from the best."

What does inseparable mean?
The other penguin couples are watching Sphen and Magic, what do you think they want to learn from Sphen and Magic?
What can we learn from Sphen and Magic about different families?
Why is this about no outsiders?
Which British Value is this about?
