The photo shows the England team after they won the Euros this summer in the final against Spain.

What game were they playing?
What is this team called?

The England women's team is called the Lionesses. They won in a penalty shoot out at the end of the game.

What is a penalty shoot out?
Are the Lionesses good at football? How do you know?

They also won the Euros in 2022 and they are the first England team in football history to defend a major tournament title.

What does that mean? How do you defend a title?



When Chloe Kelly scored her wining goal, the speed of the ball was measured. 

Can you guess how fast the ball went?

Chloe Kelly's wining penalty was 110km/h.
That's the fastest in the whole of the Euros 2025 but also faster than any goal in the premier league last season. According to TNT Sports, the fastest goal last season in the premier league was by Newcastle  Alexander Isak who scored against Liverpool and made 109km/h.

Some people still say football is for boys.

What do you think this story is about? Tara is an elephant who lives at an elephant sanctuary in Tennessee, USA. Bella is a stray dog who also lives at the sanctuary. Usually the elephants and dogs in the sanctuary keep away from each other. But Bella and Tara are best friends and constant companions. There is a news clip here where you can follow the story. It describes how the sanctuary staff realised how special the bond was when Bella fell ill and Tara refused to move from the area where Bella was getting better for three weeks. Kamden uses a wheelchair and one day Paul was horrified when he saw his friend's chair tip up and Kamden fall out. The problem was Kamden had grown too big for his chair, but his family could not afford to buy a new one. Paul said, "His wheelchair has fallen forward so many times and that sucks. Also he has a really hard time pushing it because it's so heavy." Paul decided he needed to help his friend so he investigated ways to raise money. Paul asked his Mun to set up a Go Fund Me page to raise $3900 for a new chair. In 26 days the page had raised $5935!
