Aston Villa fan to be reunited with lost 53-year-old scarf - BBC News

Grant Danskine is an Aston Villa fan and has a season ticket.

What is a season ticket?

When Grant was 12 years old he started going to Villa matches and his mum sewed a villa badge on his favourite scarf. Grant took his scarf to every match and he has been going to matches for the last 53 years. 

How old is Grant now?

Grant went to watch his team play at the villa ground which is 100 miles away from where he lives now in Hemel Hempstead

Why does Grant support a football team that is situated so far away from his home?

It was only when he got back home to Hemel Hempstead that night that he realised he had forgotten something...

What do you think Grant left behind?

Grant had left his scarf behind.

How do you think Grant felt when he realised he had lost his scarf? (encourage better vocabulary than 'sad')

Grant put a photo on social media and asked for help to find his scarf.

People who didn't know Grant went searching for his scarf. 

Why did they do that?

Football fan Stewart Garret saw the post and went looking. Stewart says it was "like searching for a needle in a haystack!"

What does that mean?

Stewart says, "I thought it's so precious with how old the scarf was and that he'd taken it everywhere."

Stewart drove to the football ground and after a while he saw the scarf hanging on a fence. Today Grant is reunited with his scarf.

Usually the elephants and dogs in the sanctuary keep away from each other. But Bella and Tara are best friends and constant companions. There is a news clip here where you can follow the story.
