Rugby

What do you see in the photo? Where do you think it was taken? What is the game?

This photo was taken after the Six Nations Wales v England rugby match last weekend.

Lots of people loved the photo and shared it  - why do you think that is?

The photo was shared by Thomas Hal Robson-Kanu who is a former premier league footballer (scoring 30 goals for his club between 2012 and 2016).

Why do you think Thomas shared the photo, what do you think he said?

Thomas talks about how the players have spent the game tackling each other and playing against each other. But as soon as the game ends, this happens.

What do you notice about the shirts - are the players on the same side?
Instead of celebrating a win or feeling sad/ angry because they lost, what did these men do?
How do you think the men are feeling in the photo?
How do you think the child is feeling?
We are not told the story behind the photo- what do you think the story is?

Thomas ends by saying "We're all human"

Why does he say that? What does he mean?
Some people might be surprised to see tough men playing with a baby. Are you surprised?
What does this show about men today and babies?
What can we learn from this photo?

Why is this about No Outsiders?
Which British value is this about?

Are you a No Outsiders school? Winchester University are conducting research to explore the impact of the resource. Please help us by completing this form to take part. Thank you (closes April 3rd)
