Goody bags

What do you se in the picture, what do you think this story is about?

Finley- Jay is 8 years old and has ADHD and he got an idea from something he saw online called, "Hit the ambulance gamers"

What do you think this is about?

A "hit" is a random act of kindness.

What is a random act of kindness, can you think of an example?

Finely- Jay regularly fills goody bags with tea, coffee, sweets, biscuits, chocolates and pens and takes them to his local hospital to give to ambulance drivers. All the items are donated to Finley by friends and family.

Why does he do that?

How do you think ambulance drivers feel when Finley-Jay gives them a goodie bag?

Why is this an example of a random act of kindness?

An ambulance driver said, "Our staff don't do the job for thanks, but having someone like Finley handing out goody bags certainly makes the role even more worthwhile."

Finley's mum says, "Whenever we have some spare time, you can find Finley up at the hospital by A&E handing out little bags that he's made up."

- how do you think random acts of kindness affect people?
- Does a random act of kindness have to involve buying or giving things for people?
- what other random acts of kindness can you think of?
- what sort random acts of kindness could we do at our school to make people happy?
- Do you think Finley chooses who gets the bags or does he give them to anyone?
- What can we learn from Finley?
- Why is this about No Outsiders?
- Which British value is this about?
